Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

Depending on your insurance coverage, if you receive out-of-network chiropractic benefits, we provide a “super-bill” for reimbursement. We are a cash based wellness office serving whole families. Not being in-network with insurance companies allows for us to create the best, most unique, and affordable care plans for our practice members. Radiant Waves provides different payment plans, both for individuals and families, to help meet everyone's needs.

How long will my first visit take?

Your first visit, which includes a thorough evaluation and consultation, will take approximately 45 minutes. During this time, the doctors will obtain a thorough history and perform nervous system scans to get a full picture of your health. This will help the doctors identify the true cause and develop a unique care plan for you.
Once care has begun, a typical visit will take approximately 10 minutes.

Will you adjust me on the first visit?

Usually not. At Radiant Waves, we do not guess with your health and are committed to providing you with the best care possible. Your health is our main priority. We always thoroughly evaluate the results of your first visit before initiating care. On your first visit we perform a consultation, examination, and an extensive, high-tech assessment of your nervous system. We take the time necessary to properly evaluate the results and make appropriate recommendations. Your follow-up visit will include a personalized report of findings and answers to any questions you have.

What are the benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy?

Chiropractic helps support your body as it rapidly changes to grow and nurture your baby. When your pelvis is aligned, the muscles & ligaments surrounding your pelvis and uterus are balanced, and your nervous system is fully functioning, you will experience more comfort, connectedness to baby, and often times easier labor. We have helped many women transition into motherhood, and would love to help you, too.

Prenatal chiropractic care

Do you only see pregnant women and children?

Dr. Lucas and Dr. Jodi are trained heavily in the prenatal and pediatric population, however that is not the only demographic we serve. We are very passionate and committed to inspiring health within the entire community. The most efficient way for this mission to be accomplished is to care for your whole family! This includes mom, dad, brother, sister, baby, athletes, young adults, etc.

I'm sick. Should I reschedule my appointment?

We encourage you to use your best judgment and keep your distance if you are feeling sick. We also know that chiropractic helps your body heal optimally. Many people feel better after an adjustment because your body is better able to adapt to a run-down immune system if your nervous system is less stressed. We recommend that if you are feeling sick to give us a call so we can help you determine what is right for you.

Why should my child see a chiropractor?

With modern day schedules, stressors, and non-stop lifestyles, the average child is experiencing a greater deal of stress than realized. This stress has undeniable effects on your kids' nervous systems which can lead to many health challenges. Many parents are choosing to have their children checked by a Chiropractor as a proactive measure to their child's health. Often times, we are seeing babies right after birth to ensure they start their lives thriving, growing, and developing properly to avoid future difficulties.
If you receive care during pregnancy you receive a complimentary at-home adjustment within the first two weeks after birth and your baby receives a complimentary newborn “welcome to earth” check as well.

What should I wear?

During your initial exam process, we recommend you wear comfortable athletic clothing. Clothing that is unrestrictive is ideal as we will be the most comfortable for you.
Shorts, yoga pants, stretchy pants typically work great and are common to see in the office.

How much does this cost? How long do I need to come?

Our Initial Consultation is $150 and includes going through your history, goals and a comprehensive exam. Adjustments are $65 but with our discounted care plans adjustments average around $50 depending on which plan you choose. Every person receives a custom plan unique to you. Our plans range from 24 visits to 90+ visits. Our custom care plans are the reason our practice members get results they've never achieved before.

Some people say that once you start you will have to go forever. Is that true?

Our care should only be utilized for as long as it is serving you to become a better, healthier, and more vibrant you. Typically, patients do choose to stay with us for general well-being care because they like the way they feel and function following a chiropractic adjustment. We only want to be utilized for as long as we are an asset to your life. People tend to feel really good when they're in chiropractic care, which is why they keep coming back.
