Some babies enter the world with more tension in their little bodies than most people realize. And some moms leave birth with challenges they never expected. Rowyn’s story is a powerful example of how caring for the nervous system, right from the beginning, can bring healing to both.
The Challenges: A Tough Start for Mom and Baby
During labor, Rowyn’s head stayed turned to one side for an extended period of time. By the time she was born, her neck and body were tight and imbalanced. She couldn’t root to that side at all, which made latch and feeding on that breast extremely difficult.
The pressure of that position also affected her mother. The same side of her pelvis and low back had taken so much strain that her leg and foot stayed numb and tingly for over a month postpartum. Daily movement felt strange, uncomfortable, and unpredictable.
The First Adjustment: Instant Relief and Connection
Just hours after birth, Dr Jodi gently checked and adjusted Rowyn. She immediately found the area of restriction on her neck. After the adjustment, something amazing happened.
Rowyn instantly rooted to the side she couldn’t use before.
Her body softened. Feeding became easier. It was the first of many steps toward balance and comfort.
Ongoing Care for Mom and Baby
As Rowyn continued with weekly adjustments, she grew more relaxed and coordinated. Her latch improved, sleep became more restful, and she began moving through her milestones with ease.
Mom began receiving care with Dr Lucas, and with each gentle adjustment her leg and foot improved. Eventually, the numbness and tingling faded completely as her nervous system and pelvis regained normal function.
A Year Later: Thriving Together
Today, Rowyn is a happy, bright one year old who loves her visits, moves confidently, and continues to thrive with consistent care.
Her mom shares how grateful she is for the support she received throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and this first year. She felt encouraged, educated, and truly cared for during every step.
